.NET Interview Questions You'll Most Likely Be Asked


The technical portion of a job interview is often the most harrowing part of the process. While no one expects you to be able to spout all of the minutiae of the subject, it is critical that you be able to answer some of the detailed questions. Furthermore, it is also very helpful if you can give a knowledgeable and intelligent "I don't know that" type of answer. Being able to think quickly off the top of your head is often more impressive that spouting the expected answers.
In all cases, it is a good idea to prepare for the technical interview by doing a bit of studying and refreshing of your skills. This book is a primer on the fundamentals of the .NET environment as well as specific questions regarding the foundation objects in VB.NET, ASP.NET and C#. Overall, the 175 questions are general in nature and are in the form of a question with immediate answer. The first section of the .NET chapter has answers in essay form while in the second they are multiple choice.
Even veterans of .NET that are facing a technical interview will be well served by reading through the .NET questions, for no reason other than the fact that it will help you flag any areas of personal weakness. Given what could be at stake, it is hard to envision a scenario where you would be over prepared.
The last section of the book contains 51 generic questions that could be part of any job interview. Such questions have been published in many forms and there is nothing to distinguish these questions from what has appeared in other venues.
