Words are often hard to memorize. When put into context we dont need to memorize them, instead, the idea is learnt and imbibed which helps us use the word with ease when the need arises. This, in turn, improves comprehension, as well as writing skills.
It is a good material for students to prepare for GRE test. I have read a few vocabulary books for my test, however, only few ones include the contexts and etyma for words except for this book. Another useful function for this dictionary is the scenarios where particular words can be applied. In other words, this book is worthwhile take mental notes before the test. I highly recommend it to students!
