-- Mark Brown, Certified Speaking Professional (CSP),
World Champion Public Speaker 1995
This is one of the most holistic books you will find on public speaking. Not only does this share Ami's own journey of becoming a confident speaker but also is a step-by-step guide on how anyone can become a confident public speaker. If you want to beat nerves and succeed in every speaking situation, this book is for you.
-- Suman Kher, Founder, Soft Skills Studio
This book is packed with information presented in a friendly and approachable manner. I appreciated the honesty of the author about her own initial struggles with public speaking, making this book a more relatable read coming from lived experience. Chapters end with a helpful summary and a quiz. Information covered includes everything from the history of public speaking to the importance of nonverbal communication and adaptability in different settings. Because there is so much information and context here, it's useful that the chapters are broken down into more navigable sections if the reader happens to be looking for more specific advice.
--Zaidee Everettc, Librarian, Harborside Library, Johnson's and Wales University (JWU)
Exceeded my expectations. Well-presented and has a lot to offer. Practical advice for public speaking. Helps you focus on the most important aspects of public speaking.
-- Didem Durak Akser

Whether you are presenting to your team or handling conversations, you'll gain practical tools that work. For those wanting to boost confidence in meetings, build your credibility, and lead with presence, this book is a must. You'll find yourself nodding along, thinking, yes, I can do this!
-- Angelique Hamilton
HR & Workplace Consultant
Found it to be extremely helpful. Will recommend to others.
-- Riley Wiederhold,
Reviewer, Goodreads
This book is a very comprehensive and actionable guide to public speaking. I appreciated that it was written for a layperson, with no overuse of jargon, and there were plenty of examples and real-world connections to make it more relatable for the reader. There were also helpful summaries at the end of each chapter. Overall, I will definitely be recommending this book as an addition to our collection.
-- Diandra Douglis,
Librarian, Montgomery County Memorial Library (MCMLS), TX
For people who are unsure of where to start with public speaking, this is a valuable resource—especially many of the early chapters. For individuals who know the basics of public speaking, there is still valuable information here for structuring, timing, and understanding the components of public speaking and what makes a speech effective. Some of the advice is quite generalized (again, this is most prevalent in the early chapters), but much of the advice can be applied and used in one's own speeches and speech-writing activities. Overall, this is a great resource for anyone with a phobia of public speaking.
