Learning

I see the title Product Manager get thrown around a lot on hiring sites. I’m relatively unaware of what the ins and outs of the position are, so picking up this book shed light on how the role functions and what’s important from it. There’s much to learn when you take the time to try and understand a subject better. I went into it with an open mind and feel like I was able to learn new information.

Clear and practical

An excellent resource for anyone curious about breaking into product management or deepening their understanding of the role. The book does a great job of demystifying what product managers actually do—showing how they drive value in both fast-moving startups and large organizations. What I appreciated most is the structure. It walks you through the entire product lifecycle—from initial idea to launch and marketing—making the process easy to follow. The inclusion of proven tools and frameworks used by top PMs adds a practical, real-world edge. Plus, the actionable tips for transitioning into a PM role and preparing for interviews make it especially useful for career changers.

Great starting point for product management

I’ve been flirting with the idea of moving into product management, and I wanted something that didn’t feel like a textbook or a bunch of vague advice. This was a great introduction as it’s clear, practical, and actually made me feel like I could do this. One of my favorite parts was the section on cracking PM interviews. It has actionable tips, not just generic “be confident” advice. I’ve already started tweaking my resume and prepping my answers based on what I learned, and I feel way more prepared. The content is solid, but hearing how actual PMs navigated challenges would’ve added an extra layer of insight. Overall, this was a great book that was like a crash course in product management that doesn’t overwhelm you.
