It goes deep into things like environmental analysis tools, different types of legal systems, and global economic systems. There are short quizzes at the end of the chapters that definitely kept me paying attention. I felt like this was a different book than other business books out there.
Business people, entrepreneurs, and business majors need this book as a guide and resource. It informs a reader about the current state of business because of digitalization and globalization. It was the very first time that I have been exposed to the interconnected VUCA world. The quizzes should be used by teachers to give their students.
For us new small business owners and entrepreneurs new to global markets, looking to expand internationally, Power offers practical tools and frameworks to help ease the transition into global commerce. These insights provide a strong foundation for building effective international partnerships and avoiding cultural missteps. For business owners taking their first steps into the global arena, this book serves as a reliable compass for navigating international markets with confidence.
I don't think many entrepreneurs think ahead when it comes to how to handle business in the world market, so this essentials list is actually pretty great. I like how it simplifies complex concepts and offers practical frameworks to navigate todays interconnected global marketplace. One minor critique is that its ambitious scope may be overwhelming for those wishing to explore more specific topics related to their industry, as it was for me at times. It's a great way to also learn the power of culture, a pretty awesome feature all around.
